Bay window concerns / In Market for a 76-78 westy

Has it really been since 2012 since someone has made a post on here?
Anyway, maybe I can wake some peeps up.
I'm heavy into getting a Westy this fall, or sooner and have been shopping ebay the last month or so to rekindle my love for a sage green 77 that I once owned. I also used to be a member 1990-ish of neato and limbo but faded away when I scrapped my love (she was a true rust bucket).
Could anyone give me some tips? I settled on a person in San Diego that pretty much just fixes up Westy's but doesn't restore them. She seems pretty cool. What do you think? Thanks a bunch! -Sean (Wissinoming Brewing)
