Coolant Pipe Replacement

Worked on my van yesterday (82 Diesel) - realized that I need to change the coolant pipes sooner or later! I have one brand new plastic pipe that I am not 100% sure to use - any feedback?
Or is the best to go with the stainless steel ones, or will a new, traditional metal pipe (if available) last me another 30years???

Check both the male, female connection-use a[prefer] new hose-perhaps trim the end of the plastic.

I'd vote the stainless - i doubt that the steel metal ones will be a huge savings. My plastic ones were going, one was fine, and I picked up a used (free) one to replace the other.  Was glad not to spend for stainless, but if I hadn't found such a rare free find, I'd have stainless on the van now.

i put stainless on my 82 Diesel Westy. if you want a hand and aren't too far from CT let me know. i recomend the two piece pipes unless you can get your tank off easily

I find removing the tank pretty easy. If you go that route, replace the tank vent lines while you are at it. I made a write up on drop/instal of the tank let me know if you need it.
