Engine won't run
« on: June 15, 2005, 01:57:24 PM »
My 83 Vanagon (air cooled) won't run. It runs for a few seconds then dies. Runs for a few seconds then dies, ad infinitum. I've replaced the coil, condenser, points, fuel pump relay (under dash) and the fuel pump. What else could it be? J Lee

Have you replaced the fuel filter? The fuel tank could also be bad and have lots of sediment in it if the top has collapsed from rust. It seems like something must be clogging the fuel supply line.

-Stan
