Heater hose/pipe

Looking to see where (I cant find it, largely because I dont know what its called) I can buy the long corrugated cardboard/foil tube that runs from the back of a bus, to the front of the bus. This tube is made of the same type construction and material as the hoses on the type 1 engine, but extends through the cross members in the bus as it traverses from the front of the engine, up to the duct work in the nose. Mine has a 3 foot long section "missing"

Altough 37 also looks like it, but seems like that is an earlier model exhaust judging by the heat exchangers...

I was thinking that, but then Id have to replace a whole bunch of other lines under there too... Here are some pics, maybe I'm not describing it dead on...

This is a smaller diameter hose than the HUGE one running down the middle, this runs parallel to thatHUGEone and is about the same diameter as the heater hoses on the t1 engine.

Don't replace with ty 1 hose-it's not for heat-do rust first-then find a substitute replacement

You are looking for the one I am.  It runs from the diverter on the right side of the bus, back to the vent under the rear bench seat on a westfalia I believe.  

I know our 77 has this hose, but I believe that my brother's 78 does not have this hose, they eliminated it for some reason.

I have heard negative things about using PVC due to the potential high temps and heating up the PVC too much where it starts to put bad things in the warm air coming out the vents.  

As much as it would be easy to say "just find an aircraft grade silicone tube", I know that it is very expensive to do it that way.  It certainly would work well and last a while, but tough to put that kind of money out for me right now.  Especially since the bus is a late spring through early fall vehicle for us.

PS, the picture you have up above doesn't have the hose you are looking for, since that picture is for a straight bus, not camper.  The one you need comes off the diverter on the right.  In the picture it goes right to the heat supplier that would go under the middle seat in a passenger bus.

Hey guys, if you know the dimension you need, just run to your flaps and pick up what you need. Most places carry a variety of heater/AC hoses to fit different cars.
