Hi everyone.  Day 5 of our trip.  Just uploaded latest version.  



We've been on hwys so far and are in western Montana.  Have seen only a few VW vans/buses.  About 5 Rialtas.  Tons of Scamp trailers.  Are Scamps made out here?  



We'll be checking back, so if you want to post to this thread, that would be great.

The Eveland Company, who makes Scamp Trailers, is located in Backus, Minniesota.  So that might explain why you're seeing so many trailers.    They had a nasty fire back in january of 06 and they are back in full production as of December 06 with a nice new building.

Thanks for the info on the scamps...we are in washington state now, have not seen as many, but we also have been off the beaten path on secondary roads, as opposed to major hwy.  Just updated site again.

Hi all, just checking in as we are sitting in a small town in Washington getting an oil change.



We have got a few inquires on the gas prices, and mpg we have been experiencing.  We will tally up a recap at the end of the trip for those who were interested in this info.  This was just some info I had to share in the beginning when there was nothing exciting to report.



Thanks for all the emails so far, even if we don't get to reply back.  we like to receive them

Loads of VW's on west coast.  Yestederday we passed a VW repair shop just off I-80 in Sparks (next to Reno).  There were about 30 different VW busses - Bays and mostly Vanagons...



anyone familiar with this shop???
