Keep it Coming!

I got my Economic Stimulus check a couple of weeks ago. I'm afraid our government is going to be disappointed because I am using it for things that most likely won't help the economy pick up. With this check I'm able to keep food on the table for a week, lights on low for another month and gas in my Westy for at least another day. All I can say is send me another check! Keep that free money coming!

Nevin I too received my check. I had plans of up dating the camp cook ware, not. With this check I can fill my propane tank reserve a spot on the ferry for the Big Duck camp out. Then save the rest too go to the West River Westy`s, with a full tank of gas. The check was nice but all I want too do is go camping!!!!!!!!!!! later the Con Kid

Where is my check already? Oh well, it should be soon. I think saving it for gas to West River Westies is a splendid idea! It should be enough for gas and fire water if the prices do not keep going up. I am about ready to mount a VW insignia on my prius!

We're now 1/10 of a cent off the 4 Buck mark and still climbing. Just how much gas will 1/10 of a cent buy?

Yea, I bought regular for 3.79 this weekend up here in Mass.
I'll definitely be stocking up before heading through CT. this summer!

well, here on long island, we've already been paying over the $4 mark. Last week Brad traded in his daily driver; a Dodge Hemi pickup- got a brand new leftover 07 Fahrenheit GTI. He had to argue with the dealer to take it in as a trade in.

I Can Feel it Coming!
It's very close now, I can almost feel it! And look, the Colonel is even smiling.
It's here, it's here at last! I'm getting it now!

How To Milk The Miles
«

For those of you who can't take that noozle where it hurts, here's a few basic techniques known as "hypermiling" to get more miles for your buck. (some are good and some are bad)
*Avoid using brakes as much as possible.
*Inflate tires to proper pressure.
*Use a thinner motor oil.
*Time traffic lights and roll thru stop signs.
*Put car in neutral or turn the ingition off and coast.
*Keep the windows closed and the AC off.
*Use the draft from trucks on the highway.
*Leave more space between your car and the next in a line of
traffic.
*Drive with one wheel on the center line to reduce friction.
*Use cruise control to maintain a steady speed.
*Tread very lightly on the accelerator.
*Drive the speed limit.
