replacing front door window seals

My 1984 westy front door window seals are in bad shape. Are they hard to replace? I also have the chrome trim and noticed that some replacement seals are for vans without chrome trim. Could I remove the chrome trim and not reinstall by using the seals not made for chrome trim?

I am also looking at doing this. I do believe that you can skip the crome trim, providing you buy the rubber for no trim - since the door and window are all the same. I prefer the no chrome look, and fortunately, my Westy weekender has none.

I'd like to replace the bumpers with the black steel ones someday-but that money can somewhere else weher it is better needed!
JR

I did confirm that you can replace the window seals with new seals that do not have the chrome trim. In fact it's cheaper to buy the seals without the groove that accomodates the chrome trim. Bus depot and Go Westy sells the kits.
