sliding door
« on: March 23, 2007, 10:48:36 AM »
I have lubricated all points on my 1968 sliding door.  I can't open the door now. Regardless which way I turn the lock on the inside neither the inside or outside handle will work. How can I get the door open and arethere any simple adjustments I can make without being a mechanic ? Will appreciate your help.

Thanks

I'd start by getting the door panel off from the inside. See if you can get the rear latch to unlock or operate, etc.

Get a good manual too, like a Bentley (www.rb.com) if you don't already have one.
