The Pope's Volkswagen
<br><br>Pope Benedict XVI has been presented with a special version of the Volkswagen Phaeton by Bernd Pischetsrieder, Chairman of VW's Board of Management.<br>
<br><br><br>The 450bhp six-litre W12 Phaeton is one of the long-wheelbase models, and according to Volkswagen it has been "specially equipped to meet the comfort, privacy and security requirements of the Holy Father".<br><br>The Pope is no stranger to Volkswagen products. In the days when he was known as Cardinal Josef Ratzinger he owned a Golf which was subsequently sold on eBay for just under €190,000.<br><br>
