I've replaced 3 starters in 6 years! Problem is, starter won't turn over. I hit it with a hammer a few times and it starts right up! There's got to be a better way. Help me!

bill, the best thing to do is find a very good supplier . than clean and reclean all connections. all grounds also ,it wouldn't hurt to add a ground strap from the back of the trans ( battery ground) to the stater mounting bolt. more ground mean better everything
