87 Westy has start problem
« on: August 18, 2005, 03:38:50 PM »
I have an 87 westy with the standard 2.1 motor. I have been trying to correct a starting problem that has just become worse and worse. My Battery test fine, starter also. I found that the distrbutor point was burned off so I was told that a bad coil could only do that. So i changed the coil and distributor, and still only starts every once and a while as before. I have current to and from the coil and distributor but no fire ???
Does anyone a suggestion? E-mail me missionguate@mail.com
I would try the suggestions that I found under the topic 77 Westy ha starting problem. I just don't know if some of those would apply with the difference in motor and electrical. ::)
