WHAT'S GOING ON AT WEST RIVER WESTIES NEXT WEEKEND

Friday, July 18th
Pick a campsite, set up your camper and relax. Meet old friends and make new ones. Take a dip in the West River or do some tubing. Have a campfire or watch one or all of the movies----"Little Miss Sunshine", "The Bus", "Bass Ackwards" or "The History of VW Cars". Site to be determined.

Saturday, July 19th
Do what you please on Saturday morning.
*  Biking or hiking on State Forest Road to the Scott Bridge.
*  Take a self-guided area tour. See tour map and guide.
*  Visit John's Car Corner's Open House in Westminister, VT.
*  Go tubing on the West River. SEE NOTE BELOW
*  Walk around the campground or just hang out with friends.

The Limbo Regatta Tube Race on the West River will start promptly at 1:30PM. You will hear the sound of the OOOGA Horn at 1:00PM notifiying participants to assemble at the north access to the river. Finish will be at the southern access. Be sure to wear foot protection as the river bottom is very rocky. As usual, there will be awards for first and second place finishers and also for the best decorated tube or skippers costume.

The Potluck Supper will be at 5:15PM on the Pavillion Porch. Again the OOOGA Horn will sound at 5:00PM. Be sure to bring your own plates, utensils and beverage. Seating inside or outside the pavillion.

Awards and Bucket Raffle will start around 6:15PM. Remember that all proceeds from the raffle goes to the Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend, VT.

At the conclusion of the Raffle, it's time for campfires, talk of Volkswagens or whatever and maybe some music and songs.

Sunday, July 20th
If you plan to stay over until Monday, again you can do what you please. If not, you'll be packing up  for your journey home.

PLEASE NOTE: The flow of the West River can be tricky at times, so take necessary precautions. Remember----TUBING AND SWIMMING ARE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Please abide by all of Bald Mountain Campground's Policies You can find these on their Website
www.baldmountaincampground.com/policies.html

We'll see on the river.
