sliding door

I have lubricated all points on my 1968 sliding door. I can't open the door now. Regardless which way I turn the lock on the inside neither the inside or outside handle will work. How can I get the door open and arethere any simple adjustments I can make without being a mechanic ? Will appreciate your help.
Thanks
Dave Eager

I'd start by getting the door panel off from the inside. See if you can get the rear latch to unlock or operate, etc.
Get a good manual too, like a Bentley (
www.rb.com
) if you don't already have one.
