in mid-western NY is a Large River gorge carved by the genessee river that drains into lake Ontario. <br>the state park is 20 miles long and has primitive/RV/cabin camping there are 3 wonderfully scenic waterfalls and a 100ft+ train trestle as well as a small regional geological museaum with a Mastadon skeleton found in the vicinity,<br>during summer there is are several gift shops and a community area with large pool and even a US post office. <br><br>there are miles of biking and scenic overlooks as well as hiking and part of the fingerlakes trail. canoeing on the river in the gorge when the water is calm. <br><br>it's a MUST SEE for anyone passing thru Central NY state. <br><br>Dan in syracuse
