New Hampshire -Vanagon westafalia mechanic referal

looking for a referral in southern or central New Hampshire for a dependable & trustworthy shop--preferably a limbo member or kindred spirit specialist.. a resto project  91 westy 79k miles...in great shape but stored 4yrs ago in barn due to coolant leak......coolant issues, brake lines, rotors etc...mechanical only..

ive decided to send it to john in westminster even though its 98 miles away my AAA covers up to 100 miles and from my past experience w/ him hes honest and knows his stuff

Yes I heard that about John in Westminster VT too... but did not try due to distance..Im in NH too...with an 85 that needs push rod tubes replaced..

So I too would like to know anyone more local...

i tell ya man it was 110 miles one way, but i dont regret it for 1 minute Mike & lisa & their sons are kindred spirits and really do it for the love....I hadnt been there in over 12 years and it was like going home...they have a mexican 1992 panel van there thats really cool. and plenty of parts vans & boy they are down to earth, not like some of these euro auto places on the seacoast that just want to rape you for the BIG SCORE

just an update i went to johns in vt this weekend to drop off some parts and what my local euro auto shop told me was a head problem w/ a 1300.00 estimate..was in fact only the thermostat leaking coolant!! so now i can fix the canvas and get that SA grill..THANKS JOHN/MIKE/LISA

Yup another good referral for Johns. Guess it would be worth the trip...

And to get that SA grill...I want that for the Syncro and some good fog lights :)

BTW After West River Westies I went to John's and had my windshield replaced. He did a fine job and at a good price. I was off and on my way after a short while.
