Oh great and powerful Gnome of the Locks. I ate the last photo last nite, does this mean I have too go straight to detoxs? Or can I come and share some of my Cazadores dakilla with volks? Volks if you haven`t been too the River you are missing a great campout! So do not miss this one, you will be sorry. The Gnome knows how to make it fun, come one come all. You will love it, later the Con Kid

When you see this beautiful waterfall on State Forest Road, you'll know you're pretty close to West River Westies.

Hey Nevin,
Question: I'd like to get a t-shirt, are taking in orders for them or are they going to be available at the campout?

Do I need to make reservations, or can I show up (sat aft) and get a spot?

Neophyte (or stupid) questions here (I have only had a abbreviated attendance at one VW camp-out).    I saw one quick reference to pot-luck supper.   If there really enough food for all with the pot-luck set-up?  Any set time for the pot-luck (I might be arriving late after climbing Mt Monadnock)?

Is it OK to just bring a desert to the pot-luck - my cooking skill is not so great - i.e. I can bring better things baked by my better half - gluten free if there is any demand for such.

Guess it is time to unpack/repack from last weekend!

Pot luck is usually around 6PM.  Bring desert, that sounds great.  I'm planning on making my Italian sausage soup.  Going out to the store to buy the ingredients later today or tomorrow.

WHAT'S GOING ON THIS WEEKEND AT WEST RIVER WESTIES:

FRIDAY:
SIGN-IN: Get to your campsite, set-up and get organized. Be sure to check in at the BMC Office first and then sign in at the Pavilion Porch for West River Westies. Eric Lindskog's famous "Pulled Pork Sandwiches" will be available late in the afternoon and early evening. See Eric at the Pavilion. Relax, have a campfire and meet and chat with old  and new friends. Transporter Newsletters will be available. BTW: Some help will be needed to fold, stuff and address the Newsletters into envelopes.

SATURDAY:
10:00AM: Bike Caravan from Bald Mountain Campground to the Scott Covered Bridge via State Forest Road (1.2 miles) and return.
                                  -or-
Go tubing or rafting on the West River on your own.
                                  -or-
Visit with John Hamill at John's Car Corner in Westminister, VT.

2:00PM: The famous "The X-treme LiMBO Regatta" on the West River. Be sure to dress up in your Captain's costume for this event and be sure your tube is inflated.
5:00PM: Start assembling for the Potluck Supper on the Pavilion Porch. Bring your own plates, utensils and beverage.
5:30PM: Potluck supper served from the Pavilion Porch. Seating in the Pavilion or bring your own seating and eat outside. Eric Lindskog's World Renown Smoked BBQ Ribs will be available for those who ordered them adjacent to the Pavilion Porch.
7:00PM: Awards, 50/50 Raffle and Bucket Raffle to benefit the 60th Anniversary of Grace Cottage Hospital, Townshend, VT.
8:00PM on: Campfires, stories, jokes, some home grown music, whatever. You might just hear some new verses to the "Hamburg Show"! Sorry, no transportation this year to the DETOX ward at Grace Cottage Hospital, however, there will be offered a newly approved FDA cure labeled "Kakilla Flush". See the Wagonmaster  for further details!.

SUNDAY:
On your own. Stay at Bald Mountain Campground and relax, tour the surrounding area or take in the giant Newfane Flea Market.

SOME REMINDERS:
* Fire wood, ice and a few sundry items are available at the BMC    Office. Other supplies and food including fuel are available locally.
* Tubing, rafting and swimming in the West River is strickly at your own risk.
* Be sure your camping equipment is secured, need I say more on that subject!
* Bicycle safety equipment including helmets are recommended.
* Please abide by all of Bald Mountain Campground's Rules.
* Finally, remember that this is supposed to be a "GREEN" event, so act accordingly.

COME AND ENJOY,
Your Wagonmasters: Nev and Sue Lescher and Out Riders, John Netsel and Kevin Kruger
