For the automatics which is a 3 speed, there is no cure, no aftermarket gears. Ill just have to get used to it. Maybe in time I'll put a little taller tire in the rear. The 16" rims make a big difference in handling, less body roll but a bumpier ride. I also put new Bilstein shocks all around and larger South African brakes up front. The Westy is so much more pleasurable to drive now.

its like i hate to sounds so :oops: mushy, but ive fallen in love with it again...i can pick up the boys at practice, i can go camping, i can go to the beach, i can go cruising without that constant fear of breaking down with the wife & kids

I've only put 3000 miles on it since the conversion and my confidence is back again. We're taking it to Ohio (Dixie Bus) and Kentucky (Mammoth Caves NP) later this week. Should be at least 2500 mi. round trip back to Long Island . Well end up at the Terryville Conn. the night before the show.

very cool trip you have planned, best wishes for safe travels.. she'll be fine thats just a jog
im going to try and make it to terryville this year so maybe ill catch up with you there...try not flex your new found muscles on the trip, either that or buy a decent radar :twisted:
