I just contacted the folks at The Glen in Watkins Glen and they are inviting the VW group again this year to participate in the US Vintage Grand Prix events. This event is scheduled September 6-7-8 2019. (I have nothing to do with those days and cannot ask them to change them)

The Glen will be offering a weekend package price together for the VW club. It will include camping fees for two vans, two adults for the entire weekend. In and out access to get back to town or discover the Watkins Glen Gorge and the Finger Lakes. Full access to the entire track, the pits and we get to do laps around the track too.

The camping is on the inside of the race track, right by the track. It will get noisy. Two vehicles per site is OK. We can have a small campfire, dogs, kids, bikes. There are full bathroom and shower facilities available. If you are a car nut, this is the place to get up close in the pit and on the paddock to see all the vintage vehicles. Our VWs are considered quite vintage and we get the crowd to cheer and applaud when we take the track. All and any VWs are welcome to camp or get on the track.
